Cecile’s lifelong obsession with storytelling eventually led her to start creating her own work, armed with a laptop, questionable confidence, and a highly accredited degree from YouTube University.
In 2014, she put that very official training to the test by writing, producing, directing, starring in, and editing her first short film, The Lesson, mostly as an excuse to learn every corner of filmmaking the hard way. The film, which focused on child abuse, earned a nomination at the Young Artist Awards.
Since then, Cecile has produced and executive produced feature films, commercials, and web series through her production company, Rated Elle Productions. Recent credits include The Dreadful starring Sophie Turner and Kit Harington, Neighborhood Watch starring Jack Quaid and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and the drag queen dramedy God Save the Queens, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Her debut feature, Breaking & Exiting, a dramedy centered on suicide prevention, was released theatrically in 2018.
